Join us for the second in our accessibility webinar series as we welcome back Dr. Beth Bienvenu and Dr. Katharine Hayward, formerly of the National Endowment for the Arts Office of Accessibility, as they take a deeper dive into best practices for ensuring the accessibility of your programs and services for people with hearing, vision, and cognitive disabilities as well as those with chronic health and mental health conditions. Topics will include what physical and programmatic accessibility looks like for in-person and virtual events, how to promote accessibility, and an overview of electronic accessibility (websites, videos, and social media).  Participants will come away with a set of practical steps toward ensuring inclusive experiences for all.

Drs. Beth Bienvenu and Katharine Hayward are the Co-Directors of the Creative Access Project (CAP), which is a new national initiative, housed within Art Beyond Sight, providing targeted technical assistance, education, and resources to strengthen accessibility efforts across the arts and culture sector and support disabled artists nationwide. Their work with CAP is an expansion of their work leading the Office of Accessibility at the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), where they facilitated peer learning sessions for state arts agency staff, delivered accessibility trainings, developed technical assistance resources for the arts sector, and provided tailored technical assistance to arts organizations to increase engagement of members of the disability community.
